The stir was unlike any Damien had seen at Syvasgaard. The newest recruits were coming in droves. He had already decided the best approach to continue operations under the Congress of the Silver Gryphon Legacy was to dissolve preset teams and assign agents based on individual needs of the mission. There were numerous types of missions that the Legacy might need to respond to, and numerous type of individuals that would be best suited for those missions. Prince Drammis and Meriadne Kelowitz were already established as his foremost diplomats. Khalid, Ferin and Maevus were undoubtedly his best fighters. And none could yet rival Felicity for sheer magical punch. But those traits alone would not be enough. The Legacy would need a different breed of hero if they were to go where they would be needed. Drammis would stick out like a sore thumb trying to infiltrate any band of brigands or a coven of warlocks. Sinopia would never stand up in a full scale battle. And the plethora of elves that had been attracted to Syvasgaard would never be able to travel in the Khang Empire or the UnderDark without problems. Syvasgaard would need a darker breed of heroes to fight along side the light. Khalid was the first part of that equation. Others would follow.

Not surprisingly, the next questionable member of Syvasgaard not only surpassed Sin for shear sex appeal, but might stand toe to toe with Khalid in a single battle. And her background was as dark as they came. Her mother had been none other than the Wild Druid of the Sisters of Pain and Pleasure, the Dryad known as Sumac. Her father? Well to those who might know something about Old Calladon, that would have been obvious. Her father was the Incubus Lord, Christobael. That haunting secret had followed her since she returned to the mortal realm. It had been her mother's decision to send her to the Abyss with Vipren, to be trained as a warrior. In the Abyss she grew up fast, removed from the linear time of the mortal realm. But there had been a spark in her that thirty plus years of torment and training could not wipe out. Her grandmother's Dryad blood was stronger than her demon blood. She returned to Old Calladon not long before the Olde Silver Gryphon came in looking for Augustus Rose, and ended up destroying Christobael. She hid, and used the opportunity to escape her mother's influence. When she emerged from Castle Silverhaven under the protection of Ambassador Kheldar of the Drovikallum, it was the first time she had ever seen the rays of Apos.

She would never go back to the darkness.
