Description

With thanx to the VERY TALENTED Madmouse we spent the day at Colechester Zoo - if you have not been, GO! The imperious Leo (although that might not be his real name, and he might be incognito to protect his family) sat very nicely behind his glass screen for me to zoom in on him. Well I like to think it was for me, it might just be that he was tired and fancied a bit of a rest. Who can tell.

Tired? lol They sleep most of the day and night, and laze around most of the day and night and they don't do their own hunting in the wild I mean. Great capture though. They're fantastic animals, Lions. But then, I'm a cat lover. :0)) The detail and colour is perfect! Well done :0))

Wonderful portrait of this old lion ! I like all the details on his face, each sign of fight on his nose... and his eyes.... He's really a King, with all this majesty ! Great shot Martin. V
