Inachis io. Peacock Butterfly. Taking pictures of butterflies without a tripod on a breezy day =NIGHTMARE!!!!!! I decided to remove the colour from the background to focus on the really striking colours,this is probably one of the most beautifully coloured insects in the UK. I Might need a bit more photoshop practice though. :)

Superb! I first thought this was a butterfly in the snow, and I was baffled by that. Your photoshopping skills don't seem to be lacking at all, I must note. I would, however, also be very interested in seeing the original version of this photo. Such a beautiful butterfly and a well-taken photograph. Congratulations. :)
