I have been so busy this week, I am sorry for not posting and replying to all the beautiful work. This is dedicated to my friend Valea, who is busy moving right now, but I am thinking of her. I adore her characters, this one is Mercedes. She is the essence of strength and beauty... The texture of the dress is also by Valea, and I love the painted edging.

The lighting is very interesting - intense, with deep shadows. Gives everything a sort of unearthly golden glow that makes her seem like a gypsy goddess, or something - I like it!
