Description

Mantova again - you recognised already i think. Very unusual for me to take photos like this here but i was attracted by the ancient and peaceful mood of this city. Very special. And the ice cream there was good too, not to forget that!

Indeed it is a peaceful looking place. I'm still marveling at the stonework in the roadway. I always visualize a stonemason carefully laying them in place one at a time. An awesome image here, and awesome ice cream too I guess :)))

A wonderful atmosphere you have created with your sepia and black & white - really excellent shot - like stepping into the past but still modern. Beautiful. :o) CC

The word "ancient" and "modern" came up immediately. The charm of the shot. Very well seen and even better presented. Ye, the Italians know the secrets of making ice ;)

I think it's a great idea that you've cycled to your favorite ice cream stand, thereby working off the inevitable kilo gain, Walther!LOL! But, seriously, for just a brief sec here...hehe...I, too like the way you've captured the contrast in eras with your color treatment here...serious off now...'-)...ciao!

You did not bring me any ice-cream, Walther. That was nasty of you. I just love these images with the one colored object! Beautifully done!
