Description
Life is not a flowery pathway
That leads to the Promised Land;
There are many trials and temptations
That we cannot see or understand.
Our God knows our every weakness,
As we travel this pathway below;
And He whispers words of comfort
That spiritually help us to grow.
Our adversities will disappear
When we forget all self and strife;
And when we let God become
The basic influence in our life.
Life is not a flowery pathway
That leads to the Promised Land;
But, like Him, we must bear our cross,
And some day we will understand.
