Description
Hephaestus, god of fire, patron of those who work metal.
Started out in an experiment with glass properties applied to a figure as per a recent thread. Looked cool with a red light so I added some flame layers I made using Clay's Volumetric fire mat from Bryce, some textured glass columns to hide seams and set off the flames, made an anvil, hammer and tongs, loincloth and a big bunch of play with lighting.

No postwork except for lighting and signature. Flame layers and columns were rendered with Glow and then applied to a background object so the main image DOF wouldn't kill the effect.
