Description

Last Call. Much of Mauna Loa was the same. It is colored with red rocks until the next level above which is black. The day is late and the heat is on. Heading downwards to cooler grounds. Will be back another time. Aloha and thank you for viewing

This is really an amazing image, otherworldly, in fact, here in the desert, we go up to get cooler; not down :-) Wonderful!

Heading down for cooler grounds!? Isn't the warmth usualy related to the height in a different direction? Mauna Loa goes a bit beyond my comprehension, its area must be vast compared by mountains I know! Fantastic work, Errol!

jcv2 and diomedes66... True, as you go up, the temperature gets cooler. But on this day with no help from the clouds, the sunrays are more severe at higher altitudes and there are less vegetation to cover you. The lower elevation level had huge trees with a breeze of fog mist upon me. And besides, the WINE Factory was several miles below, lol. Aloha
