Description
It's been a while since I've uploaded some paintings of mine. So here comes the first of six.
This is from the anime feature MACROSS: DO YOU REMEMBER LOVE? It's the asteroid-sized flagship of the Zentraedi fleet. (On the "Starship Sizes" website you can find the actual name and size of this thing.) Although cross-media comparisons are hard, I think I'm safe in saying this thing could go head-to-head with a DeathStar.
I probably should have shrunk this down but I got to thinking that action of you the viewer panning across the page is an adequate simulation of this nightmare panning into view on the movie screen.
The original is acrylic on 11x17 matte board. I wanted to do a banner of the painting so I used PhotDeluxe to change the ship's angle and stretch the image wider.

it's actually quite a bit larger than the DSI but about the same (small planet) size as the DSII. and yes it could easily go up against a DS especially with the 5 million+ capitol ships it runs around with. great render! always love seeing macross stuff.
