Description

Last Friday I asked my good buddy who captains the Noa Noa catamaran out of Kona's Kohala Coast for a ride. Noa Noa, a 50 foot cat., is a roomy boat, and is set up very well for snorkeling. Their snorkeling sites on the reefs of Puako are some of the best in Hawaii. They sail out of Anaehoomalu Bay in Waikoloa where the wind is excellent, and they are one of the few big cats. that really sails instead of motoring everywhere. I took the evening sunset cruise to view the spectacular sunsets that happen every evening off this coast. If you are ever on the West side of the Big Island this is a must if you love sunsets at it's finest. Here is a pic of the Noa Noa coming in to pick up passengers for it's nightly sunset cruise at Anaehoomalu Beach. Anaehoomalu Beach, backed by hundreds of palm trees and, is famed for its breathtaking sunsets. This is one of many beautiful beaches on Kona's Kohala Coast. Graceful coconut palms line the westward facing beach, and tranquil fish ponds lie directly behind the beach. The beach itself is nice, with white sand and good swimming and there are several small coves along the coast which are almost always empty. Calm waters allow you and your family to swim, snorkel, and enjoy the day. The Southern edge of this bay is the best area to snorkel and you will most likely see some Sea Turtles as well. Shady trees surround the beach and provide cover from the sun. Many thanks for having a peek and all your kind comments on my previous posts..Much Aloha to All!

There's simply nothing like the Hawaiian coast, such rich lush wonderous beaches and the water is always ready to swim in, unlike where I live... the water is cold... Excellent image and it looks like you had a great adventure!!!!!!**

Can we please trade places? I have always wanted to go out on a cat. Back in the days of my youth and during college, Several friends and i wanted to raise capital and share a cat to take a world tour and write about it. One was the write, the other the artist and I was the artist/photographer. Regretable it never happened. But it still is a nice memory to think back on it. Oh, by the way, this looks like a perfect spot. Your very lucky to have such a good friend. Have a great weekend. Egmont
