Description
With this view from the dunes on Ambleteuse I want to conclude this series. The flood-tide now reaches the old fort Mahon (marking the start of this series) and Ambleteuse lies as close to the water as possible. That clipper went north and south and here it's heading north again with the United Kingdom on the background.
The combination of a telelens with a teleconverter is great, but the little darkened corners show the combination is not perfect. I could have tried to compensate for that in Photoshop but I think it adds to telescopic effect (effectively it's like a 600 mm lens with a magnification of about 13 times).
Thank you so much for your enthusiastic company, it felt like strolling in this area with a crowd of RR-members enjoying this site! Tomorrow (eventually!) I intend to start with posting my shots from Switzerland.

Wow! This place is amazing! how interesting to see the old fort amongst the new buildings. compo is fantastic and i really enjoy looking at this beautiful coastal town! can't believe how incredibly blue that water is!!!! I say instead of taking a stroll that all of RR members jump in and going swimming and splashing!!!!!! Yipppeeee!!!!! :)
