Description

In a secluded part of a forest in India, where people never set foot, lies a lake. Near the lake lived a witch, who was so ugly she only dared to come out of her hiding place during the night. But although she was extremely ugly, she could sing so beautifully that at full moon the Moon fairy and her star children came down to earth to dance upon the lake. The witch tried to enchant them with her singing, but as night turned into day the Moon fairy called her star children and they returned to the sky. But one time a few of the little fairies didn't listen when they were called to return. They kept on dancing and when the first rays of light fell upon them it was too late. The witch felt delighted that she had managed to capture them and stole the shine of their figures to make herself pretty. Now she was the prettiest witch ever, but the little star fairies were still much more pretty than she was. In anger the witch turned them into water lillies and they could never return to their mother and sisters in the sky. But at night, when the moon is full and the witch sings, the little fairies come out and dance upon the lake... Fairytale by Queen Fabiola of Belgium. Yvonne

I like this :) Great original design, nice magical air. I would prefer not to see the faint large diameter line around the moon though ...other than that quite perfect!
