Description

Many of the parks ringing the San Francisco Bay Area have been set aside for the protection of migratory or endangered waterfowl. Even the thinnest strips of wetlands can provide some shelter and feeding areas, as well as convenient observation points. The water here at the Hayward shoreland was remarkably clear. I'm not a birder, checking off lists of names... I just enjoy watching them go about their normal activities. :) Photo with some filtering to get the painterly effect... which seemed suitable for such a watery image.
