Description

On this image you see a place near Heidelberg (Germany), called "Celebration Place". It was build in the 30' years by the Nazis. After the 2. WW till the 70' this place was rotting more and more. In the 70' years it was rediscovered by the Hippies. They used it as a meeting place and for free Rock and Blues concerts. In the 80' the city administration prohibidet the concerts (too much drugs and garbage) and the place was restored. Now it is used for commercial events. Only one time a year 10.000 of people come here together to celebrate Midsummer Night.

Magnificent image and wonderful toning - I am reminded of the traditional Greek theatre even though the architecture differs... well done indeed!

WOW! I can imagine how cool it would be to celebrate Midsummer Night at that place. Like an ancient greek arena of some kind. Sigh...i just saw that Paul said something like that too...so much for being creative with the comments, LOL. Wonderful and original presentation too. Have a great day #:O)

I love the way you divided this in thirds and changed it to sepia tones in the middle - it gives an ancient feel to this amphitheatre! A great history lesson as well :)

Very original presentation of this place Ana, and thank you too for all the informations of this place. I prefered to think to this place with thousands of Hippies and rock concert than by a manifestation of Nazi's... I'm shure it's a great place for concert with a very good acoustic ! Very nice shot and presentation. Have a nice evening. Hugs
