Description
A pair of Rainbow Lorikeets were snacking in one of our trees. They were playing hard to photo, they kept moving and hiding behind branches.

beautiful birds. I do not recall seeing or hearing of them before. Near a local power station there is a colony of parakeets that live within the transformer area and are able to survive the harsh winters. there are several thousand and the city closed one grid just for the birds. excellent capture on a unwilling subject

I have seen them before, saw one in the zoo last week, but to actually have them flying around wild, that would be cool! Nice shot.
