This is a good start...only things i would say is a) bigger render please and b)i couldnt help noticing the "stars" in the background look more like galaxies to me, i dont know if this is what u wanted but i think u should change the backdrop. The ships look well good, if only we could see them closer up(hint hint) Nice image.

I give you an 8 only because it isn't finished and I think it will be much better when it is. I think the stars and background are near perfection. The only thing i would change about them is the star off the wing tip of the lower left ship. It's a bit distracting. On the ships themselves just randomize the textures on each individual ship so they don't look cloned. The need some distinguishing marks, and a little more detail on the texture. Other than that great job man. If you like space based scenes, NosNivek has a couple of nice ones you might want to look at.
