A newbie to graphic art and having a blast with Bryce, Photoshop Elements and PSP. :-)
I purchased my first digital camera last year so I'm clicking quite a few photos and loving the wonderful folks in the Photography group! :-)BIOHi! My nickname is maggiemai...or maggie for short and I live in upstate New York. I work at the local hospital and my favorite thing to do is hike along the trails of the Adirondack mountains or swim in our beautiful lakes. :-) I've always had an interest in art and photography. It's what I do to relax. I think Renderosity is an awesome site and I'm very grateful for the free space they give me to post my work. Nice to meet you! :-)

Actually they still do Kimmie... !! See that little window? You can't actually go inside but you stand outside the window and order your flavor of frozen custard right there through the window. :-) All the ads on the windows I felt gave Window Shopping a whole new spin...hehehe

awesome maggie! really a cool place. There is a very old Custard place in St Louis that I missed while I was there. just as well, do not need the calories or sugar!!!

Just ran over from the forum where i just left a reply on your pic there. I gotta be honest here and tell you that i soooo much more prefer this one. Maybe someday someone might tell me what frozen custard is, so that i dont have to confuse it with frozen mustard....have a lovely day ya hear...i better hurry up and get to work. See ya! #:O)

Looks like it might have been one of the original Carvel stands that were all over the place. I remember quite vivdly going to the custard stand for a cone or shake..It was the best...thanks maggie for making me crave a custard right now..6/12

I actually think I like this in colour too.But for the nostalgic feel the sepia works there. Quaint place.I remember places shaped like this. Always a good place for a burger or something. LOL careful what you say about 60's being antique... Those were my growin years.

ah damn...if the people from the 60's are antiques, then what the hell am i?!?! i'm from the 50's! lmao and i actually think that design is from the 40's. we had one in my home town that looked almost exactly like it. and it was there well before i was born. (still is for that matter. only now it's a flower stand.) hehe great shot btw...we ole timers tend to ramble before getting to the point. lol excellent work as always hon!!
