I definitely like what you've done with the elemental guy! I kind of like the glow from the volcano in the other one better. But then I like the sky in this one... I give up. I like them both. ;-)

The character and environment look a lot better than the original, you have improved much. I still kinda like the framing on the old one more - the character is more of the focus in the old one and the crater is more the focus in this one.
