Description

The Giant corperation was unhappy with the shutdown of their strip mining operations by the local populace so they hired some state of the art mercinaries to take care of the problem. Everything would have gone fine but a rougue trader sold plasma cannons to the local populace and they were quickly fitted in their piston engined fighters. The results deadly the atmosperic performance of the mercinary fighters was poor . The Plasma cannons of the Yadron fighters cut thru the mercs like butter. Models by me in Wings 3d texturing a combination of photoshop and Bryce DTE. The fighter design is roughly based on the Grumman F-5 which did not see production but went through a number of prototypes. The idea for the nacelles like they are is from a Chinese trainer.

oh..thought you meant the Jet version of the F5 (can't remember the name..hate it when they do that..the B1 was both a supersonic bomber, and a biplane..;) great work, keep 'em coming.

Beautiful fighter. Maybe a little tail heavy, but what the heck it flies fine in Bryce world. Excellent modeling.

An interesting link the design is loosly based on the Grumman Skyrocket here is a link to a few pics of the original. http://www.fiddlersgreen.net/aircraft/WWII/skyrocket/info/info.htm I took some liberties to make it look a bit sleeker and I liked the different cowling idea.
