I am amazed that an image like this gets so little attention. When I clicked on it, it had been viewed only 34 times. Had this been an image of boobs, you would have gotten 3 times the hits. If it was naked boobs, ten times that. It saddens me that the beauty and power of this kind of image is passed over for "cheescake". I am not religious or or believe in Christ, but art like this has inspired artists for centuries. This is a wonderful image. I'll get off my soapbox now.

The pose and light are very good. I would only change the texturing of the wood on the cross, which doesn't quite work in terms of realism. The texture of the horizontal piece should run horizontally, and it should have finer grain to match the scale of the figure of Christ. Some bump mapping on it so it doesn't look flat would also help.
