Description
Another photo detail done up as a portrait. I discovered that you can make a nice background out of a couple of pasted samples from the image and adding some shape blur. I just need to work on Photoshop selections. I mostly hand-erased the original background. Unfortunately the flattened image refused to look like the merged one on my screen. But I guess it will do.
Update: I went back and used blur and smudge tools to remove smart blur artifacts and added matting.
