I bet the power company had something to do with that trees condition. Nice presentation.

Top notch sight for the unusual that often escapes our attention and is right in front of our eyes!!. Though some friends here think the world wants to see the U.S. collapse, the coverage from the Gulf States disaster, triggered a sincere will to help from many countries, including a few of the least expected ones. Beyond the greed of a few, there's still hope about humanity's values. Let's work hard to ride that wave!

Excellent capture and it brings so much hope ...trees are so strong and resilient and never give up and we must not either. :-) A beautiful tribute Richard and I am so saddened to hear of more bad luck for the folks in New Orleans...sigh

Nature is strange, it does things like this, a tree that is still there and the damage that Katrina did, such is the way of life, it gives it takes, and one never knows when or how or where, Eccellent Richard. V Lina

Magnificent image of this tenacious life! I am surprised that the local power company has not taken a chainsaw to it. Superb!
