Description
I'm feeling a bit blue tonight. Some great artists have left Renderosity. I only have a vague idea why and it makes me feel blue. Anyway, here's a portrait I did with a friend of mines poem on it. She writes terrific poetry. I can't write a word of it. LOL
Thanks for the comments. I appreciate every one of you who come and visit my gallery and all the new friends I've made here. Hugs Maria

Nice picture, and touching poem: It makes me want to run to her and hold her so she won't be so lonely... Prog is back, at least! (I think it's because of my "Friday Night Ugh-Head!") (Well, probably not; but it was a great coincidence! :D )

The poem and the pic are a perfect marriage. There are some of us who can write a story/poem from a picture and make it seem as if the picture was created for the words. That the picture was patiently waiting for the author to catch up. You have done that here. What you've done I think is far more difficult. To bring about the perfect visual to the words. Mind you, for any artist to capture what was in the minds eye of the author is truly the highest compliment the author can receive. Don't get me wrong, it's an honor to have one read our work and be able to get what we are saying. That means I've taken you from your world into mine even if it is just for one moment. For you the graphic artist, the artist which ever your medium, your objective is to pull me into your world. To have me live your artwork. Me the author is to have you come into mine. To live my words. But when you the artist and me the author are on the same wavelength, and our worlds collide, WOW! That is saying something! That is a moment we live for! That is a moment you can lean back in your chair, raise a glass to, toast yourselves and say...."yeah, I did good! I got it!" I bow to you my dear, BRAVO!!
