Description
Continuing my ongoing series, after that Angelyna speedbump.
Doallyn returns to Hillsfar after the battle of Myth Drannor. The stench of battle filling his nostrils, the sounds of death and screams, filling the night. He left as a boy, eager to wield his blade in combat, eager to show his prowess and fight the Dark Elf armies. Now he returns a weary warrior, tired and beaten. And mournful for the lost innocense.

nice work fredo. i like the pose, it tells a story in itself. makes you wonder what lies dead at his feet though. :) suggestions: seems to me that he should be a touch darker to fit the background. try using the brightness/contrast sliders or the render->lighting effects filter. i'd also do a little postwork around the chainmail shirt where it goes around his neck - it fits very tightly and looks like its painted on. try using the clone tool to make it slightly larger than his neck, then add some shadows. if you really want to make it look good, you can use some highlights and shadow to give it a 'curled' look, as if its curling back onto itself. it may sound like im nitpicking, but its little things like this that take away from the realism - the eye picks up on these subtle faults and is drawn to them, spoiling the illusion. also his cape is sticking through his right shoulderpad, just paint it off with the airbrush tool or clone tool. if one really looks hard, they can see the same thing with his bicep poking through slightly on the left bicep. these arent faults, just deficiencies in the poser renderer and lack of collision detection. but they can be fixed easily in photoshop - the entire image can be postworked in about 15 minutes and then it would be perfect. cheers, -gabriel
