When Lady Nightwing lost her position, her brothel and her livelihood, it forced more then just she into the streets. There were dozens depending on the Black Feather for their livelihood, for their very lives. For some, it had become the only home they had ever really known. Those who didn't quite fit in with "normal" society could hide in the dark halls of the Black Feather, only coming out at night when all the world wears a different face, and those little idiosyncrasies aren't quite so noticeable. For some, it was a place to rest, a stop in between wanderings. It let them take off their masks and be who they were.

Malikai Greyvines was one such person. He had never really felt at ease anywhere. He stayed to himself, wore the masks he had to wear, did what he had to do to survive. In Lady Nightwing, he had found a friend, a comfort, even a mentor for his natural artistic talents. Under her tutelage, his Bardic skills grew. But when she was driven out of business, and eventually out of town by a perverse and twisted nobleman, Malikai set out on a mission of vengeance. He failed, and fled New Calladon for his life. Only his skills in disguise had kept him from being identified and now wanted by the law. To hide again, until he could find the opportunity to fulfill his promise of revenge, he did the most logical thing. He joined a secret society of do-gooders who were out to punish those who considered themselves above the law. So he put on his stage name, packed his guitar, and took up his swords once again. Wait till the SG Legacy got a load of him.
