Description
I have been doing what I could as a retired physician to help the people who have suffered through this terrible ordeal..I have seen parents who do not know where their children are..I have seen husbands and wives who do not know where their spouse is...it is utterely unbelievable.
Pray for them...and remind yourself how lucky you are..no matter what problems you may be facing.
Thank you...
Peace..
Rob

Rob, to put a glimmer of hope on this.. I was devistated that I had family members missing down there and they couldn't find each other..then they did.. and all were well. God has blessed them and so far they are fine, but there will be many needing you and others like you. We are doing what we can here. People are going to need much for a long time..including nurturing and love.

I truly believe this is a sign that our gov't fell down on the job; and America needs be taking care of American's first & foremost. For example, Bush's grandoise schemes have put me at Starvation's living room; and we don't have f**king Hurricane's in North Dakota folks.

The disaster there must be WAY beyond my imagination, and a living hell for all those who are suffering so terrible and have lost everything in their lives. My heart are bleading for them and for all of you who are there and trying to help them. Thank you Rob. "Sophie"

Very meaningful words and beautifully written about such a sad thing that has happened. Another major disaster to cause unecessary loss of life. I can only imagine what people are going through. Cathy xoxox

Oh! your words are so filled with the tv images that we see even here every day, terrible things that Nature does, from one end of the world to other, I am surprise that those people in power take so long to help though, like always , money for war, but not for help. very sad to see how life is some times, and some should hang their head in shame, I am glad you are ok, Rob, but my heart crys for the people I se every day, still there, and no help. V Lina.

Rob what was happening in your area cannot be described! It's one big tragedy! We had very heavy rain here as well i.e. many houses were also flooded up to the second floor but it's nothing in comparison what was happening in your country! I follow all your words!!!

This silly place would not let me making a one-word comment, so here I am blabbering on just to say, 'Amen!'

Heart-wrenching poem, so apt for such a horrendous tradegy. We do what we can for those in need so far from us and hope that it is enough or helps in someway :(

A Terrible tragedy ... the poetry brings it all home. And, even now, the sadness of this event is still with us. I'm sure the people you managed to help are grateful ... I would be. Thank you for posting this.

Rob, Your poem touched my heart! I have been fortunate in never having lived in an area that hurricanes are attracted to. Being originally from Oklahoma, we got tornados! Much easier to take shelter from. Disasters, devastation, are always with us. We must learn to realize how precious and how fleeting life is, and not squander the time we have been blessed with having here. Leann
