....and I shall live no more.
The sands of time erode the body and soul,
our skin changes to reflect the years of life gone by
We try to erase the passage of time to continue to ebrace our youth,
but it only takes place on the phyiscal front
As we grow older we look upon our life in full
the mind, a mist of thoughts which pierce like a knife
A treasure of knowledge inside this fog, perhaps misplaced
Now days have gone by are etched in this grayish haze
The Grim Reaper stops by, talking is not his only intention
Talk of days which have gone by and your fading past
Death leaves you encased in thought and reflecting upon youself
Your soul wanting to depart this realm and follow his lead
The soul of your body begs to to exit this world
a feeling of warmth from inside, a feeling which is vast
Your spirt looks back upon your body which is on Death's door
The life which was once your is now finally dead

I don't know I must be stupid, because if there is another meaning to this then I am not getting it. Although what I do get of it I disagree withfor to me, unless we as individuals live out our days of life on a deserted island with no one around but usThen our lives never diealthough yes it is our flesh/body that dies away but the essence of us as in our lives individually noSo if I am missing something, or maybe my understanding of life is differentI don't know this seems to be the case. Anyhow the writing is excellent, just not sure of the meaning entirely. As yes I have been at deaths door and had a few choice words with the Reaper"he did not like me to much so he left""Smiles"
