Description

Traveling slowly along a narrow road away from the palace, two knights notice a young girl standing in the cool grass beside a pond. She has held her hand high, hoping her greeting would be noticed by these heroic men on such large steeds. One points her way and nods, in a way so subtle that the girl could scarcely notice it. But she did notice, and a warm feeling came over her. For that very moment, a little peasant girl, barely significant in the world of politics, wars and dramatic affairs beyond her understanding, was suddenly quite important indeed.

Great concept. The picture is masterfully done, and the description gives it life.
