Description

Over at Dreamslayerartworks.com there is a member challenge going on to do images that show the Gulf Coast at her finest with the hope and idea attached that she'll be that again and better. This was my image for that. I remember in New Orleans there was a Riverboat called the Natches, it was just beautiful and reminded me of a wedding cake on the water. When I moved up North I had gone to the Prom and the theme was New Orleans during the Civil war.. and there stood in the middle of the gymnasium a replica of the Natches.. with the wheel turning. The south means so much to me..her charm and grace and my family ties there. Part of America needs us. *S* We as artists should do what we can. Depict her in her glory days. The Riverboat was found at Renderosity free stuff in the Bryce section. The artist that created it eludes me but I want to say thank you and I want to say you are very beautifully talented. Sky is mine.. I'll gather all my skies and put them in freebies on my site soon.

Marie La Veaux? She wasn't a witch hon..she was a Voodoo queen and she had something like 12 children. Probably alot of her descendents still down there. Or were. She was rested in that famous cemetary that they always seem to depict in movies. You know Anne Rice is from New Orleans too.

Great dedication. Once was aboard the Memphis Queen and I just love the vibe along the Mississippi. The hurricane was a tragedy... IS a tragedy... and the GC will never be the same. But it will recover in grand fashion, as is the way. Excellent work.
