Description

A little page of french history tonight... Fontainbleau is a town located about 60 km SE of Paris. It's been a royal castle since the middle age. Each king of France adds a part from Saint Louis to Louis XVI. So we can find a lot of different styles in it. Napoleon loved Fontainebleau and said "bye" to his troup before leaving for St Helens (if some english people read those lines, it doesn't matter, I'm not vindictive ;0) !) in front of the castle in the "Cour des adieux". I live 6 km from Fontainebleau so I have a lot of pictures of it, and can easily catch more. Enjoy it, waiting for the true story of Vaux le Vicomte, another great castle located near my home (have to wait a few days, guys !) PS : US people know often the name of Fontainebleau, because NATO was there in the 60 - 70's, and we still have a lot of american people there (still have INSEAD a famous MBA school). Let's have a thought for all the victims of Katerina (especially the poorest ones). Good night to everybody. Be my friends in peace (and the others too, of course).
