I could imagine that it would have a hard time flying. one could say you had a captured audience. Well, I got a butty in a rain storm recently and it flew off in the downpour. still an excellent macro

I guess you were watering the garden and accidently watered the butterfly too? Pure thing! Unlike dogs or birds, they cannot shake it off, so I hope the sun helped out.

Nice capture, I've never seen one like this before, I have been told it is best to go looking for butterflies early morning with the dew on them because before they can fly they have to open their wings for a minute or two in the sun to let them dry so you get great pics without them moving. Well maybe your next pic will confirm what I heard I shall wait and see :)
