I'm not that technically advanced but I have had luck going to Google and searching for key components of the error message. In this case I would try "winxp exception error" or "trap exception 00000006" or a description of what was happening when this occurred. It may take a while but with persistence you should find something. Be aware, for as many people who have something to say about this problem there are usually just as many opinions or solutions offered. You sort of have to find the concensus. Good luck!

damn it cant be it does that error everytime i try to boot from the intall cd en try to repair winXP pro, and when i load the computer without it it asks for safe mode on so on, and never loads wins....stupid bill gates!!!!1

i would try a virus scan.. or it may be a bios got corrupt...or a hardware failure that you are using to install the window xp in ,, the device you are trying to install window xp may be failing

I would reformat and start all over if you can, burn any files you want to keep. Good luck.

This means your BIOS is screwed. Buy a new PC
