This is Hesta
Hesta came to live with us just over 2 years ago, she is a very regal dog - who I think looks like Penelope Keith!
Last Friday, after a week of being off colour, our WONDERFUL vet, took her in to spay her as she had an infection in her vulva. Once in the theatre, they found her vulva had ruptured and that she had a tumour on one of her ovaries. We had a very tough weekend, she wouldn't eat and kept being sick. Yesterday he took her back in for tests and found she had peritonitis, so she needed another major operation. As of this morning, she is 'brighter' but is not out of the woods yet.
I know this is all a bit personal, but I also know that there are a lot of pet people on this site, and right now she need your positive thoughts.

She's a beautiful dog and I know what you mean about positive thoughts. My Loki is in need of them too as we did not have a good visit at the vet on Friday. We're probably going to lose him and it hurts. I'll keep Hesta in my thoughts and prayers and hope for her recovery :) hugz

Hesta is a beautiful collie I have one aswell, Our thoughts are with you and Squeeka's dog Loki.

Hello Mr. H. Poor old Hesta. I'm sorry to hear things are not so good for her, you and Miss J. But I'm sure things will get better soon. My sympathy to Squeeka and Loki also. I've lost close friends in the past also and know how you feel. Hugs to you both. :)
