Good morning Friends :) Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a fabulous long weekend -- I did! ;-) With gas prices as high as they are, I didn't get out on that long country road drive like I had hoped; so I did what I could in my own yard. The Boxelders are out there thick and nasty, sunflowers are in total bloom and pumpkins are getting huge -- and I couldn't believe all the Monarchs flying around. A million must have hatched this weekend. Well, anyway .. I followed this pretty little buttie around a while and thought I'd upload him after all my efforts. Question for all you pros: Do I postwork some of my pictures to death ??? I get to working on these things so much, I begin to question myself. Enough 'bla blah'ing .. :) Have a super day, and thank you SO MUCH for stopping by, and for the comments that you leave. Holy monkey cows Shari,,this is the most beautiful scene I have ever come across..everything is so darn perfect. the blurred out bkgrd the fading of the plant...damn, this is your best pice ever..like your permission to print it out? i wish i could vote more than once. u rock

Awwww!!! That is soooo beautiful!!! Sure worth the effort chasing him around!!! I certainly dont consider myself to be one of those pros youre asking advice of...but heres my 3 swedish kronor nevertheless....HUSH!!! You most definitly do NOT postwork your pictures to death. The way you focused the viewers eye on mr/mrs butty in this one is proof of phenomenal work. And theres no such thing as over-postworking. You stop when youre satisfied. Nobody can decide when enough is enough, other than yourself. God, you made me bla bla bla another long one. Better stop typing and get back to work instead. Gorgeous shot my friend. Oh wow, a white butty on white flowers! To me it's only the pw that makes it more real, but that's my realistic way of photography, although it can be very arty to pw a shot! Excellent work, ShariLyn!

Well, I came looking for a bee and found beeeeeeeeeeeutiful. And who said photography wasn't exercise? Chasing this guy around your yard paid dual dividens. I bet you will have many more lovely shots with all that foliage you have attracting Mother Natures winged creations. Can't wait to see them. :o)
