Those craft look terrific, original yet firmly seated in the Star Trek look. Accepting that smoke in space doesn't actually vent out the back of a ship (on account of no atmosphere, but hey it's SF!), I wonder if the smoke should trail in a straight line from the engine pod (i.e. along the direction of travel)?

I was thinking that it's being buffeted by the solar wind, and interacting with the magnetic field of the moon below. Or something.

Excellent work, aside from a couple nit-picky things. I have designed a few starships in my time (mostly 2D plans), but I do know that the further you get away from the primary habitat towards the engineering sections or even the thrust vents, for that matter, windows wouldn't be suggested. No one is really gonna concern themselves with looking outside when their being fried in the main impulse nacelles. (lol) Jokes aside, you did quite well with your ships. You should send them off to Paramount. Maybe these will change their mind about shutting down the ST franchise!

starships is space do not vent smoke but they do vent plasma(especially from the nacelles) which can look similar. also unfortunately paramounts decision to shutdown the ST franchise is a failure of thier own making, it stopped challenging the viewer and pushing the edges of subject matter like it did when the original series aired in the 60's. the final socialistic politically correct utopia of what start trek now "is" keeps them from realizing rodenberry's original concept.

Superb gallery you have. This is top-notch professional work (from my perspective at least). Interesting, innovative modeling, great scenes!

The universe is ever expanding as is your fleet of ship designs. Look forward to many more in the future! :)
