Description

...Eternal. ** I give you my strength. I give you my hope. I give the love that I have in my heart. I give you my prayers of peace to know that one day, you will find that you are strong, and that you can overcome. ** I have not much to give, and gave what I could, so I made this image in hopes that ALL Katrina victims find some solace in this. ** To the ones who lost loved ones, to the ones whom lost a home, please stay strong in this tragic time. Remember .. HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL. ** To all others.. look to your loved ones, and tell them that you love them, look around you and see all that you have. Take a few moments and say a prayer for those who have nothing left. We take for granted so many little things in our life, and in such a short time it could be gone. *I have been very saddened by what has happened only a state away from me. I am also deeply saddened by what I have seen here recently. *And I will most likely NOT gain any friends from what I am about to say.. and for that I wish I could say i was sorry.. but well .. I would be lying.* There are more important things in this world, then who comes and who goes from this site. The fact that the people coming and going seem to be more important then the people who have lost everything in the world to them.. children who have lost their parents.. and parents who have lost their children and SERIOUSLY made me question what type of people we are.. Is worrying about whether who comes or goes from this site more important then all those poor victims of something they could not control? **** Have we gotten to that point in humanity where we are so careless and selfish ? **** Try to imagine the loss of everything you know and have.. Try to think about all those thousands of people that have so tragically lost not only all of their belongings, but have lost their spirit.

Most excellent sentiments and your words are just so heartfelt and beautiful. You are certainly right that this cataclysmic catastrophe takes precedence and priority upon anything else right now. My thoughts, hopes, and prayers are with the victims and their families in this most difficult time. What I would like to add is one important thing regarding this site, and we all interpet and perceive artwork and and content differently. Most of the friends I have talked with come here to escape the harsh realities of this world as it's a creative haven to give us a catharsis to shed our problems, not dwell on them. I'm not discounting the devastation of the attention this crisis deserves, but as 9-11, the constant exposure of this event causes emotional trauma and depression over time. It's bad timing regarding the events here and the ones in real life, but for me, this site has taken away so much of my pain in the form of doing something constructive instead of focusing on the destructive forces which constrict, cripple, and hinder happiness. God Bless everyone affected by this tragic event, and we also need our peace back on the site as well! Beautiful image and sentiments, excellent work!

Well Adria, I have to agree with Shardz... no one wants to live day in and day out in total chaos, especially when theyre on an escape like Rendo. I also think it was bad yet impeccable timing with both occurences. I think everyone feels terrible for them and those that care enough, will do what they can to help, and those that dont, wont, no matter what we post. I do think though, that good friends leaving (and possibly not seeing them again) is just as devastating to many. Alot want to let those know how much they care, by way of a ded. In this world of chaos, who have we got for comfort except our friends? As for me.. well, both things bother me equally. Gorgeous work hon!

Wonderful work and words..you have said and created everything I was feeling. It has been hard to create this past week without feeling guilty about enjoying something that others cannot, their expression, their freedom and their homes. Thank you for your words and your work again.. Peace to you and everyone.

Beautiful image and words. I agree with much of what you say but for some of us, all we can do is make art to maybe make someone's day a little better. Thanx for sharing. ^_^

Stunning in both words and image - great flow to the dove and its release; and very powerful prose as well S My mom only lives a few states away - believe me, I have imagined what could have happened had Katrina took a turn in a different direction "There but for the Grace of God" - my condolences to those who have lost so much and my strength to rise above and survive

You probably wont like this too but i feel this is directed at the recent prog incident...This is a wonderful place to come and have fun and make friends and post art..if you want to say something about what you have on your mind then you have the right and this is the place..i have plenty to say about the Victims of Katrina and have done what i could(donations and time volunteering)But i am also concerned about my friends that i deal with everyday and how they are treated..by being concerned about them doesnt make me less concerned about the storm victims..i say my prayers for them but i cant forget my friends at the same time..sorry..

Beautiful image hon. I think people miss folks.. when they are gone and with all senses of loss it's important in close knit artist environments to ease all senses of loss by regaining something or someone attainable. We've lost fellow artists here to death as well. Helplessness is something we all feel when we can only give hope and money or time. So the disasterous situation the Gulf Coast is going through and will still be going through with impending hurricanes still out there on the horizon.. We should keep what is attainable and that's love and respect for each other..and keep our hearts in the right places. Beautiful image and sentiments.
