Description

Trying to simulate a camera/studio flash light. Had to turn off the eyelashes to get a more natural look. Comments greatly appreciated. Rendered in poser with postwork on the hair.

HOLY CRAP! I'd say it was a success.. Brilliant lighting/texture combo! The "fuzz" at the upper hairline and the lower edge of the hair object are the only hints this isn't a traditional photo. (well, maybe you could smudge the collar of the sweater? but I s'pose you were going for lighting here, right? As I said, quite the triumph) I'm humbled..

Very intersting look to the eyes..it feels like she has a soul when you stare into them as they are very life like. Well done.....

Extraordinary. The reflective texture of the surface of the eyes, like marble, give them realism. If the hair were similarly reflective, it might look similarly photorealistic; has a pastel quality now, which is still lovely. Agree with comments of MRNot. Could something be done to soften the interface of the blouse and the neck? Your model is enchanting.

Would I be a total greedbag if I asked what kind of settings you used on the lights?

thought i might add in a little constructive criticism to balance out the oohing and aahing. Forehead's a little too white. Hair's a little too black for a caucasian? chin's a little too pointy. hair fuzzes instead of showing individual hairs.

Tharpa?.. Hair TOO BLACK? LOL, you've never been to Spain have you? How can her chin be TOO pointy? Hair fuzzes?...so I should throw away my camera filters because they "fuzz" the hair?.. I agree on the forehead jsut a tad too bright, considering the overall lighting.. It's still superb!.. did you render it out in Poser or Bryce?
