Description

It's been so long since I tried a split-scene that I had to re-read the tutorial I wrote ages ago. Bryce 5. The sky is a photo object and the schooner is by Jed Swindells. Can't remember where I got the whales from, but I think it might have been Toucan. My water mats and the ship's wake is made from a terrain. No postwork apart from signature. Thanks for looking and any comments. Cheers....Brian

Nice image! This is similar to images I paint in acrylics. It reminds me of the marine artist who is my favorite, Donald McMichael, who'se art is in this genre, check him out. (donmcmichael.com) Keep it up, looks good.

This is certainly an exceptional picture and has a wonderful POV. Love all the little details, too. Only negative impression (for me) is having the ship's sails partially cut off. I'd have much rather had the ship entire. Still, an excellent, excellent work.

I say you are a Bryce guru....excellent job, I like the reflection, rays under water..one thing is maybe you can show the rippling waves more on top of the ocean...

I don't see these split scenes too often (I've been tempted to try the tutorials for this effect). This is the best I've ever seen. I love the swell of the wave just before the split and how you can view the keel as well as the upper part of the ship. Great render, great lighting, great composition. Great, great ,great! Vote
