Description

Hello all! Taken late at night with my 7900 nikon while on Vacation. Some of you have asked for more pics of the seaside horses that I told you i took in Michigan ( see seeside horse in my gallery.) TOday I am putting up my personal favorite of the 50 taken. I have other pics of this entire horse but this is my personal fav of it ... I was actually on the ground in front of the old 5 and dime where my Grandmother had worked in the 1930's. Funny story . Two ladies'-real worried lookin- came rushing up to me .HAHA they though I was drunk or hurt cause on was on the ground in such a way LOL.Hahaa i have never drink but I do look like it when i take photos probally. I say to these ladies.. uhmm - (laughing from the ground ) -no just tryin' the shoot the horse.. heehee. THis horse is called "lighthorse" and is one of the many painted by local artists for a town funraiser in StJoe. THey are raising money for an ol fashion carosal. SO this isnt a real carolsal horse. but its dreamy isn't it? ... I loved the painted wind lady on it ..and the marvolous blue and yellow colors!!.. the whole horse has the st Joe lighthouse on the horses butt- so that is why it is called "lighthorse".. but you cannot see the whole thing here so I will jus'call it the "windy horse" today, ...hope you like it! :O) Thanks for all your time and comments.. big hugs~! ♥ ~Kimmers!~

Despite the "near-death experience" getting this POV, it sure made a stunning shot! I probably shouldn't say this - I like the "painted lady" too! But don't you just hate it when your horse wears roses and holds his breath until he turns blue? It's enough to make a fellow take the bus.

Just think how much more interesting it would have been if the two front legs were out of frame =). You're probably tired of hearing say that..although you really can't hear what I'm saying beacause i"m not saying anything beacause I'm typing it..What the hell did I just say????? Great pic Kim =)

a few years ago I purchased a special wood that was intended for a carrousel in Dallas but was ordered the wrong thickness. $30,000.00 all wrong. I used what I purchased to build a gate. whether or not the horse is original the craftsperson(politically correct) is an excellent tradesperson. your capture is excellent also

It is truly a fantasy horse - with the wind-lady on her side and that long mane like golden locks of long hair. I just adore these carousel horses you are posting and what a great pov, like it is prancing. Lovely photo. :o) CC
