Reall cool! I think what you're talking about - it looking like a miniature and not a "super realistic" vista? - is the shallow depth of field. A wide anlge lens will focus to infinity pretty quickly, so if your objects start at 100 feet away, pretty much the whole thing would be in focus. If you want to tinker again, try adjusting the depth of field so it goes out of focus in the back, but less than half of what we see here (if you told it %10 out of focus, tell it maybe %3). Not a complaint at ALL - I actualy like it the way it is because it immediately pulls you out of "generic vista" territory - just respndoing to your comment above.

Turn the base procedural terrain material into a grass mat and it would be a perfect golf course. Gorgeous terrain.
