Description

Mushrooms came from Fairway Supermarket, scanned on a flatbed scanner and manipulated in Photoshop.

I did squish them a bit, but you can lift the cover off this scanner or prop it up. Then I covered the mushrooms with black cloth so the light wouldn't interfere with the scan. I also scanned it as a "color document" so the contrast was very low and I brought it up in Photoshop. The reason for that was to minimize the harsh lighting on the delicate shading of the mushrooms.
