Description

The shuttle Venture passes near to the Moon through a brilliant display of light rays. Even inside of the temperature controlled cabin one can seem to feel the warmth upon their face as the shuttle drifts through each beam of sunlight. Then the moment passes and the Venture slips back into the darkness. Sometimes you can almost forget for a scond that we're out here foating in space. I do realize that a light display like this would most likely never appear in real life this close to the moon, but you have to admit it makes a striking fiction. Cool aRt! You know, you can have the sun beams visible if the shuttle is passing through dust or ice crystal...;)

I'd blame the effect on space dust. Looks fantastic.

I love it! Far too much emphasis is put on real world physics. We're artists and should embrace that. Wonderful image.

Great looking shot, great lighting, yes, probably unrealistic, what particles inhabit the void to catch the light? But I do agree art should suspend the laws of science where necessary. And lighting is a good excuse for breaking up a lot of boring black space.
