Description
I was doing the domestic thing (the dishes), when I looked out the window in front of me, and there was a hummingbird. My camera was way upstairs. *big sigh* .. So, of course I ran up as I dried my hands off on my shorts... and I'm glad I made that run; I managed to get a few shots. I know they aren't crisp -- but still, I kinda like this anyway. The wings are cool I think, and the lighting, too.
Anyway, Hope you all had a great day today. I'm so far behind in commenting (I'm sorry !!!) I hope to get at 'em tomorrow.

A gorgeous shot! You've captured it at just the right moment, with it's wings up. The motion blur give a great sense of speedy movement - which is perfect for a hummingbird's wings. Superb shot!

That is an amazing shot, even if not crisp as you say, One question though, is this taken from the inside, out the outside of the house? Anyway great shot.

I totally LOVE this, Shari!!!! Ooooooh, the way you captured its wings MAKES the shot!!!! FAbulous capture through glass, girl!!!! DOF is oh so dreamy!!!!! have you tried a tiny bit of a curves adjustment maybe to see if you could bring just a little bit more light onto his face? i don't think it needs much. or maybe just do some selective brightening around his eyes. Anyway, could just be my monitor though. It's one helluva shot girl! i really love it!
