Description

Photographs, made by Giancarlo in summer 2002 in Carqueiranne - South of France with his Nikon Coolpix 5700 and a lens macro. A small series of shots that Giancarlo made in a field not far from hour house in Carqueiranne. He always had the eye to locate by far in the flowers insects and spiders ! And this spider had really fascinated us for a long time ! A perfect mimetism with the color of the flower, and it seams that on its abdomen, the spider has a drawing of another spider. Terrifying for the predators ! And this bee hasn't survived... cool pics.........slightly soft and a bit too much sharpening i think............ the spider is a crab spider.... they can change their colour to suit their surroundings

Ah, seems to me kinda crabspider, they're masters of camouflage and unaware bugs visiting the flower will regret their unawareness! Excellent collage!
