Description

I've spent a lot of hours at the Tropical Butterflyhouse outside Sheffield since I came here almost 2 years ago. They have a wide variety of animals, both butterflies, domisticated animals like goats and hens, but also others that shouldn't really be in a cage at all. This is a Marmosette (I think that's how u spell it) and the last time we went there they had 2 babies even. These were born in their cages and have never seen the enviroment where they SHOULD be living. Birds in a cage is one thing...but I don't know about this....this is something done just to give us humans the opportunity to watch them in our own surroundings, where they don't even belong.

I know exactly how you feel! I recently went to a zoo and captured a few similiar shots! I think since primates/monkeys are so human-like that we get more of a connection with them!
