Description
Standing stones on a beach, I was trying for realism with this one. The sea looks a bit wierd I know but I always find waves difficult..

The Stones look fantastic, POV Ray has been one of my loves since I first got it in the early 90s for DOS (came on one floppy!) It's come on along way since then and this is a good demonstration of it's power.

Let me first congratulate you with your deserved first price in the IRTC! (Picture:"Wreck" - can be seen here on R'osity..). Being a fan of POVray myself (but not anything near your skills, unfortunately) I really appreciate your postings. This one is excellent. Fine textures. Only (minor) concern is, that the picture in total looks a bit "clean".

Love the stone textures! I just started since a break for about 10 years with POV-Ray and hope to get such renders soon too, though the Wreck is out of my reach for a while :)

The stones a great; fantastic texture, colour and shading. The sand? they are standing on is a little too "hard". It gives (me) the impression of being stone rather than loose sand. The waves are fine, as when you look at the stones the focal blur is perfect. This I wouldn't mind as a poster on my office wall; very relaxing.
