Description

We are planning on releasing an add-on pack to Elven Village called "The Sea Elves". Ive rendered here the original guardhouse with original texture, plus two variations on the Sea Elves version. I thought we needed a more "Sea" image on the scrollwork, so the fish is mine, but, one of our artists had the idea to try with rough "sea stone" instead of blocks. What do you think? Im a bit concerned that the stonework is a little too "speckley" in version 3, but definitely seems more "sea-like" than version 2. What do you all think of the two sea variations?

I like the third image best, but try making the scale of the texture smaller, if you can do it without repeating the repetition (grin) visible in the first, original image. (It's already present in the third; can you get rid of it?) Also, the rocks arching over the gate should match the rest in sharpness; if you don't have a sharper texture for them, try blurring the wall texture a bit.

Im willing to bet that there would be demand for BOTH the displayed versions, as they are quite a bit different from each other! I think they both look very very good.

What I was thinking was we'd take the castle building (the middle one) and then make the rocky outcropping using the sea stone texture (left one). I kind of favor the original archway and bridgeway texture with some clarity improvements.
