Description
Me and bugs don't get on. But while I was out watering the flowers this morning, this guy crawled out. I couldn't help but be impressed. It's the first praying mantis I've seen.
Not the best shot, but I tok 20 and this was the best of the bad bunch. Had to focus manualy, which is near impossible with an electronic viewfinder. i feel I may need to upgrade to a true SLR.

if you do not have the focus point exactly on your target then it picks whatever it sees with in range. when I am doing bees, I get nervous and fail to focus on the actual bee. still an excellent capture and one of my favorite insects. I would keep them for a short time when I was a boy and get them to grasp a twig. they are quite strong
