Thanks for everyones comments on Teachers Pet...I really enjoy the funny ones. That's half the reason I've been posting these attractive beauties. The Other half is that mjr lets me borrow them.. Thanks mjr =) Today's pic is made up of pics I've used in past compositions. I get a lot of milage from my eagle pics. When I do these pics of American Indians, I try to convey their love and respect for the earth and all the living things the earth provides. In this pic the indian is offering this cows skull to the eagle spirit. Most all Native American Indian Peoples attach special significance to the Eagle and its feathers. Images of eagles and their feathers are used on many tribal logos as symbols of the Native American Indian. To be given an Eagle feather is the highest honor that can be awarded within indigenous cultures. Both Bald and Golden Eagles (and their feathers) are highly revered and considered sacred within American Indian traditions, culture and religion. They are honored with great care and shown the deepest respect. They represent honesty, truth, majesty, strength, courage, wisdom, power and freedom. As they roam the sky, they are believed to have a special connection to God. According to traditional American Indian beliefs, the Creator made all the birds of the sky when the World was new. Of all the birds, the Creator chose the Eagle to be the leader... the Master of the Sky. Enjoy Today

If that eagle is hurt he is asking the gods to heal and save the eagle. He is also asking for the knowledge and healing power to save the eagle.

Great edit. I particularly like the circle that the eagle's neck creates. It really does add to the spiritual level that you are trying to create. I think you're gonna have to mail me some tutorials wink or at least tell us what program you use... :D

the North American Bald eagle works so together in this spiritual composition.. almost feel the ancestors of past spirits echoing the canyons... sublime lime work...:)..:)))so love those eagles.. priceless

really like the sweep of the eagle around the figure! a beautiful image... someone told me painting our cow skulls, which is something i like to do, is a good way to honor that animal.. just made me think of it.. anyway.. so is this :]
