Description
Leaving the Stand I go to a little lake called Boniger See. It's a little natural reserve, that offers a nice variety of flowers and birds. The purple gentian (Gentiana purpurea) blooms here in all its beauty, and although related to the smaller gentians you've seen before in my gallery this one is much taller, up to more than 60 cm (2 feet)! The flowers are like tubes with only a small entrance for bugs.
